Barbie began in the mid 1950’s when Ruth Handler purchased a German Bild Lilli doll and used her design as the basis for the original Barbie. In 1959 the Barbie doll debuted at the New York Toy Show. A star was born!

Our club is an informative and fun place for all Barbie collectors in the USA, so everyone who visits this site is automatically a member!
